Since August 2008, UML a fully owned subsidiary of Leal & Co. Ltd, markets the GWM brand in Mauritius. UML started its activities on the pick-up market with three different models: the Sailor, the STEED and the Hover.
With the expansion of its activities and the growing of the sales, in July 2009, UML opened a brand new showroom exclusively GWM. And by the end of 2009, UML was already No 1 on the pick up sales market. And since then its success continues.
In the beginning of 2010, UML started to commercialise passengers cars with the GWM Florid 1.5 VVT. This new model had a real success on its market segment. And by the end that year UML added a new model to its range of vehicles with the GWM Florid Cross 1.5 VVT.
